 Our Trip

Dolphin Seafaris departs daily during the summer season from November to the end of April.

Step aboard a purpose-built dolphin-viewing vessel and embark on a wild encounter with the ocean's most fascinating creatures. As the winner of a Trip Advisor Award of Excellence, Dolphin Seafaris provides an educational and immersive experience that's completely on the dolphin's terms.

Included in the price is your wet-suit and snorkelling gear hire, as well as hot drinks. Free parking is available at Tauranga Bridge Marina from where we depart.

Upon meeting the experienced crew at the marina, you'll venture into the open ocean in search of common dolphins and other wildlife. The knowledgeable crew will provide safety briefings and share fascinating facts about the marine environment throughout the entire day, ensuring an informative and enjoyable experience. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the common dolphins thriving in their natural habitat. The Bay of Plenty, home to a diverse range of marine life including dolphins, whales, turtles, and New Zealand fur seals, promises an unforgettable adventure out on the open ocean. With our expert crew on board, you have a great chance of encountering and respectfully observing various marine life forms in their element. Join us for an unforgettable experience in the wild, where the wonders of the sea come to life.

This winter we want to share the magical wildlife of the Bay of Plenty with you. We are running our private tours to see seals, penguins, albatross, whales and dolphins. Get a group of friends, your family or work colleagues together for a trip of a lifetime.

All our tours are weather dependent and a minimum number of 10 passengers is required. In the winter months we run private charters on demand.

Our Guarantee!

Mother and baby common dolphin.

This season if you do not see dolphins we are offering our "Dolphin Guarantee", we will give you a FREE trip to come back out with us another day. Trips where we don't see any dolphins are rare, however it does happen. We can not guarantee that you will be able to swim with the dolphins, as we are regulated by the Department of Conservation Marine Mammal Permit. There are times when legally and ethically we can not swim with dolphins. All of our encounters are on the dolphins terms, just the way we like it. It's a completely wild and natural encounter!
