Dolphin Tales

Here a Dolphin There a Dolphin
dolphinsssssss-456
On our first trip we had an amazing interaction with dolphins. We spent the first hour searching and searching for the dolphins, and then out of nowhere two dolphins popped up in front of us. We followed them for a little bit and then two more dolphins joined us. After about 15 minutes spent with these 4 dolphins we came across a pod of about 20 dolphins. The dolphins were swimming under and around the boat, eating little fish in the water, and breeching all around.

We were able to get everyone in the water to have a look and then got to spend a little more time viewing them from the bow. We would have to say it was a great start to the season here in the beautiful Bay of Plenty and we cannot wait to have more epic days like this!

Come and join us on Dolphin Seafari and check out firsthand what the Bay of Plenty has to offer!

Spectacular day out

We headed out into the Beautiful Bay of Plenty, the weather was with us, with crystal flat waters and a beautiful sunny day.
After travelling for about 2 hours the crew told us to look forwards and there coming straight towards us was a huge pod of dolphins.
Within minutes they were all around the vessel riding on our bowl and leaping around us. We hung our feet over the front as these beautiful dolphins played at our feet.
It was incredible to hear them clicking and whistling to each other.  When we clapped and whistled they seemed to tur on their side as if checking us out.  We could also hear them while we were swimming with them.  They would swim up along our side whistling and then just when they were right next to us they would swerve away. They did this over and over again. It was such an amazing day. We will defiantly be back to swim with the dolphins again!
