We also quite often use our custom made swim bar system, shown here below. After many years of operation using all kind of swim bars, we have designed and use exclusively on board our vessel ‘Guardian’, the best swim bar on the planet!
All other operators elsewhere tow you immediately behind the boat on either a makeshift bar, rope or net. These are directly off the back of the boat in the propeller wash, even on yachts, so when moving along with any dolphins you are getting the propeller wash, air bubbles and direct wash of the boat and don’t get to see as much at all. The dolphins do not go straight behind and under the boat, they avoid the propellers and move alongside any boat on the way to surf the bow wake etc.
Dolphin Seafaris two custom swim bars extend outside each side of the swim platform holding a maximum of 4 swimmers per side clear of prop wash making visibility so much clearer and on a direct path of the dolphins moving up alongside the boat.
It’s a great advantage also for not so competent swimmers, you don’t have to swim, just hold on and enjoy! Its 100% safe and so easy with us!
Our swim bars are sited at the best vantage point for approaching dolphins who will swim right next to you and directly underneath you as you are towed gently along with them.
Our design is so good that it requires almost no effort to hang on to the swim bar grab rails, so easy in fact that you can do it one handed and have your other hand free to take great underwater pictures of the dolphins.
The other huge advantage we have over anyone else is that you are onto the bar immediately you get into the water, so you wont miss out on the action and we have a separate ladder each side which go right down into the water for easy access in and out of the water. Because the swim bars are attached directly onto the side of the boat, the dolphins come so much closer than the old method and love to surf alongside our swimmers.
The swim bars are not only totally safe, but great also for young children to enjoy an encounter and are right at our dive masters sides at all times, its such a great experience!!
